- We’re looking to share our advanced crop genetics, proprietary high-performance production techniques, and wholesale trade outlets with like-minded growers who share our bedrock belief that quality in ALL things, from “seed-to-sale,” including testing, delivers consistent, high-performance, products that drive repeat business and builds a network of extremely loyal customers.
- We have also established, in parallel, a state-licensed capacity to sell our co-op members’ output directly to Dispensaries and Medical Users through buds, edibles, oils, tinctures, and other botanical compounds.
- We dedicate a substantial part of both our time and financial resources to ongoing Research and Development (R & D) in creating complex THC/CBD/Terpene compounds that appear to offer significant restoration of function for sufferers of various medical ailments.
Many of today’s growers, in their pursuit of maximizing profit, have incorporated agribusiness methods into their production processes. SoHum RC only uses organic methods (and has for 30 years) to create the best plant genetics and strains and to deliver safe, consistent, high-performance products to its wholesale customers and licensed end-users. America is showing signs of a major shift in “green” attitudes and behavior. Eco-consciousness is becoming a norm and we want our co-op to demonstrate leadership in the sustainable marketplace. Typically, organic is pricier, but it’s a great product line differentiator that’s becoming more in demand.
Our wholesale customers and end-users increasingly want all premium organic products... and they expect sustainability to be “baked in”, rather than offered as a line or brand extension.
SoHum RC is dedicated to the health of its customers by “raising the bar” for its growers by providing consistent organic quality in buds, trim, oils, and various botanicals.
It’s all in the seed. SoHum RC has more than 40 years experience in developing and growing some of the best-performing and most popular cannabis strains.
Genetics lie at the root of what is desirable in a plant from its ultimate ability to test well for THC/CBD and terpene content, to its ease of growth, to its disease and bug resistance, and ultimately for its ability to deliver the highest possible yield of premium quality buds at harvest.
SoHum RC has isolated and optimized a reliable mix of various genetic strains to produce… and we are ALWAYS refining that matrix. Ask us how we do it.
Medical cannabis is a controversial issue that affects both the healthcare industry and our society at large.
The benefits of prescribed cannabis use as an alternative to conventional medication have long been praised by its users and endorsed by some medical professionals, however, the negative stigma and controversies associated with cannabis use has made it difficult to properly validate its efficacy as a recognized medical treatment.
SoHum RC is actively involved with creating and developing new strains and proprietary blends of whole cannabis plant extracts, including gently processed and unaltered terpenes. Further, we are working with a highly experienced M.D. to put in place Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and reliable quality control standards.
We are also looking to medically validate the benefits of our proprietary blends. We intend to conduct outside studies of these compounds with the informed consent and participation of cannabis patients. We will provide them with private access to clinically tested, high-quality oils and extracts to identify and verify the best variations or blends to treat certain medical conditions.
SoHum RC is actively building relationships between growers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and end-users. Our growing network of industry leaders provides a confidential and safe environment for ideas to be exchanged, new technologies to be introduced and evaluated, and for lasting business relationships to be developed. We’re pleased to provide a forum to connect, learn, share methods, gain group purchasing power for multiple goods and services, and advance our industry. Join NOW!
SoHum RC devoutly believes that medical cannabis users are entitled to use products that are free of pesticides, micro-contaminants, and other adulterations. They also need consistent potency and reliable dosage amounts. Given the early-stage overall lack of quality regulation in our industry, SoHum RC wants to work with its members to create quality standards from “seed-to-sale” that meet or exceed any expected State or Federal mandates; we want to lead, rather than follow. This can only happen by creating standards, processes, and testing protocols that all our grower members agree to. We feel very strongly that our growers need to create tough standards and then self-regulate – well ahead of anything that might subsequently be imposed by government agencies. This is an important agenda that requires YOUR assistance and participation; please contact us for details.
Proposition 215, the California Compassionate Use Act, was enacted by the voters and took effect on Nov. 6, 1996 as California Health & Safety Code 11362.5.
This law makes it legal for patients, and their designated primary caregivers, to possess and cultivate marijuana for their personal medical use given the recommendation or approval of a California-licensed physician.
SB420, a legislative statute, went into effect on January 1, 2004 as California H&SC 11362.7-.83. SB420 broadens Proposition 215 to cover potential transportation and other offenses in certain circumstances. It also allows patients to form medical cultivation “collectives” or “cooperatives”and establishes a voluntary state ID card system run through county health departments.
SB420 also establishes guidelines or limits as to how much patients can possess and cultivate. Legal patients who stay within the guidelines should be protected from arrest.
SoHum RC, through its highly-experienced legal counsel, stays abreast of the important legal issues and challenges to our industry, including such cases as The People versus Patrick K. Kelly and The County of Butte versus the Superior Court of Butte County and David Williams.
SoHum RC has been legally formed in the State of California as a qualified medical cannabis collective or cooperative. We are now able to accept Growers, Dispensaries, and Medical end-users into our organization.
